Summer Accessibility
This last year we have received an upgrade for accessibility to the Greenhouse provided in collaboration with the City of Virginia and Parks and Recreation and now have the consistency of being open to the public throughout the week! Over the summer feel free to stroll through our Botanical Garden 7 days a week from 10am - 8pm. Throughout the summer we encourage the public to walk through our space, every Tuesday, on your way to enjoy live performances at the Music in the Park Series by the Fountain. On Thursdays come see us before you head down to the diverse local vendors of Virginia Market Square on Silver Lake and pop in and see us before vibing to the magic melodies of the City Band playing exclusively in the historic Bob Baldrica Bandstand. On the weekends, pack up a picnic lunch and after making some memories, you can discover a tranquil oasis nestled within the heart of Olcott Park. While the park is bustling with lively events and festivities, the greenhouse offers a serene sanctuary where nature enthusiasts can retreat in a botanical haven for quick rejuvenation, immersing in the sights, scents, and sounds of the natural world. With the Olcott park events just steps away, visitors can seamlessly transition from exploring our botanical wonderland to partaking in the vibrant tapestry of recreational activities that the Virginia Parks and Recreation has to offer.
